Dr. Doug Smith
DDS
Doug Smith is a family dentist specializing in in-surgery and restorative dentistry. He grew up in South East Idaho and got his bachelor’s degree at Utah state. From there he went to Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri for dental school. From there, he joined the military and interned at Madigan General Hospital. Dr. Smith and his spent many years traveling around the world as a dentist spending time with the military and offering his services to Native American Tribes, Inuit people, and different victims of natural disasters. In 2005, he moved back to Idaho and started his family practice in Rexburg. During that time he started implementing same day crowns and laser dental tools. In 2013, Dr. Smith sold that practice to his son and went to Germany on a religious and Military service mission where he taught first aid and CPR. In 2016 Dr. Smith returned home and he opened West Yellowstone Dental with his son, Ryan. Dr. Smith is considered a Master of Dentistry by the Academy of Dentistry.
Dr. Ryan Smith
DMD
Ryan Smith is a family dentist with a specialization in implants and orthodontics. He was born in Germany while his father, Doug, was in the military. He grew up in Rexburg Idaho and he grew up knowing he either wanted to be a farmer or a dentist. Dr. Smith got his bachelor’s degree at Utah State University and then continued to the University of Kentucky for dental school. This is his eighth year being a dentist and he loves what he does. Dr. Smith’s favorite thing to do is implants because each situation presents a unique challenge that must be overcome. He decided to open West Yellowstone Dentistry with his father because he thought it would be a great way to serve those around him. In his free time, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids. He also runs his homestead in Fall River, Idaho and golfs.
Lindsee
Office Manager
Lindsee is the front office manager and has worked with West Yellowstone dental for a little over a year. She moved up from Arizona after wanting a break from being a drug and alcohol counselor in the Arizona prisons. She has managed many offices and decided this would be a good fit for her because it was closer to family. Lindsee loves meeting new people from all over the country that come in for dental visits.
